My approach

IS DIFFERENT

My main goal is to capture the two of you as you are at that moment. You can be photographed by anyone on a beautiful background. The point of my photography is not in the photos at all. Sounds weird, doesn't it? Let me explain. What kind of memories do the "beautiful" photos bring back, if they were created in a moment when you felt embarrassed, uncomfortable? And on the contrary, what feelings do the blurry, incomplete - "bad" photos, that you took with your phone in a really beautiful moment, awaken in you?

 
What is the point, if by looking at the photos you don't go back to beautiful memories, but instead to unpleasant ones? That's why I focus on you and how you feel. Photos come after that. Before we start taking photos, I create a safe space for you, where you can truly be who you are. This helps me capture honest moments of your vulnerability in experiencing the big and small emotions of that day. I give you the space to stop and breathe, to really experience what is happening around you.
And yes, the first 10 minutes are going to be strange and a bit unnatural for everyone, especially for those who are not used to being in front of the camera. But I promise you, before you know it, you'll be focused on your loved one in the given moment!
My style is focused on authentic moments. I put your well-being and relationship first. I will not force you to do anything strange or unpleasant. There will be no posing and forced smiles. I will give you simple natural tasks that will enable you to relax, open up and will allow you to be who you are. The point of all this is that you will feel as yourself and not as an unnatural version of yourself.
Anyone can take nice photos of you two. But I strive for more than that. I want to capture something more precious and important. I want you to be involved in every part of this process. That way, in the end, these photos will truly be yours and a part of your story. Messy, imperfect, emotional, vulnerable, with wide smiles and eyes full of tears.

What can you expect

Hey, glad you're here! Before you is a detailed overview of my work process, from the introductory meeting, photographing, all the way to receiving the photos. If you still have any questions after reading, you can include them in the contact form or write me an email. If you are interested in booking a couple photography session or would like to discuss my services further, we can arrange a free meeting via Zoom.

Introductory meeting

After sending the inquiry, I will send you a tentative offer of family photography and some basic information about my work. Then we set a date for the introductory meeting (live conversation over tea, but it can also be done via Zoom or email) where I will present my workflow in more detail. At the meeting (or via e-mail), we determine together the date and location of the photo shoot, I will give you guidelines and suggestions for clothes and props. This is where we clear up all questions and potential concerns.

Reservation

The photography session is reserved upon prior payment of the full price of the photo shoot.

Photo shoot

At the agreed appointment, we meet at a previously determined location and do a photo shoot. In the meantime, I'm making sure that this goes as smoothly and pleasantly as possible. At this point, it makes sense to mention that no posing will be required, but you will be given simple and fun tasks. At the same time, I will focus on the authenticity, emotions and beauty of your relationship. I want that looking at the photos it is really possible to feel your love and that they will bring tears to your eyes today and even in 60 years!

Thirty days after the photo shoot

You receive edited photos in a private online gallery protected by a password. You can save the gallery and share it with your loved ones. Take your time and look at the photos in peace together. Additionally, upon agreement, you can also have the photos printed (requires an additional payment).

When can we expect the photos?
You will receive the entire gallery of edited photos in a private online gallery within 30 working days.
How long is the online gallery active?
Your private online gallery will be active for 3 months. During this time, you can freely save and share photos.
What about unedited (RAW) photos?
Photo editing is a creative process. I edit the photos in my own style and from the many created, I only choose the best ones. Thus I don't give away unedited photos, i.e. RAWs.
How should we prepare for a photo shoot?
We will work together throughout the entire process of preparing for the photo shoot, so that the final product is truly who you are. I will help you choose the clothes and location for the photo shoot. We will create a mood board together, which will help us find a creative direction. The best way to prepare for a photo shoot is to trust your intuition and my creative process.
